Well, Pretties, summer seems to be at its close (But will this humidity EVER BREAK?!), and you're probably getting back into the swing of your day-to-day routine by now. But that certainly doesn't mean that the fun has to end!
In fact, just as August means the start of back-to-school-shopping, scheduling classes and work, and completing that first unnecessary homework assignment that your teacher gives just to keep you busy-it also means that you are back in town with all of your friends and eager to celebrate (and celebrate and celebrate)!
I'm sure you've got the fun covered, but if you're searching for some way to spice up your look this Friday evening, then check out the e-l-e-c-t-r-i-f-y-i-n-g tutorial below provided by local art student, Kathleen Beegle!
Have a FIERCE FRIDAY night!

Sure, this step may not count to some of you as part of the tutorial, but I believe it is of the utmost importance to protect your skin,
day or night (not to mention, moisturizer will give your skin a luminous glow)! I like to use
Aveeno Ultra Calming Lotion with SPF 15.

Bare Minerals
Illuminating Powder works wonders on my skin! Then, make sure to fill in the brow for extra definition. I like to use
Speed Brow by Benefit.

Using a soft bristled brush, dust a natural taupe shadow over the entire lid, working up to the crease.

Start from the inner corner of your eye and work your way to the outer corner with an angled brush. For this tutorial, I actually used an electric blue eyeshadow stick and mixed it with Vaseline to give it a liner-like consistency. If you're curious to try a similar method, take a look at
NYC Sparkle Eye Dust in Brilliant Sapphire, and any generic drug store Vaseline will do. For those of you that prefer a liner, NYX's
Jumbo Eye Pencil comes in a variety of fun shades!

That's right! You read correctly. This is a tip that will brighten your day and your eyes! Using a white eyeliner, carefully trace your waterline. Any drugstore brand should do the trick, but I particularly like products by Revlon and Maybelline.

Now that the shadow and eyeliner are complete, top off your look with a few swipes of black Mascara on the upper and lower lashes! Maybelline's
The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara will hold the curl in your lashes all night. If you're planning a girls night out, add a couple of extra coats for drama! Otherwise, keep the application light, and you'll have the perfect fun and flirty day look.
