It's official. Fall is here! Can't you just feel it in the air? Crisp, cool mornings are becoming a steady recurrence, and if you're a regular Kroger customer like me, then you've probably noticed that the cinnamon broomsticks are back in stock and ready to find a home in your cozy living room! There are so many reasons to love the oncoming change of season--corn mazes, candles, pumpkin e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g , apple cider, a blanket and book by the fireplace--and you don't even have to feel guilty about ordering that hot, spiced latte in public anymore because it's actually expected!
Now is the time to start thinking about what kind of clothes you're going to pull out of your closet, and for me, this means LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS. If you're not sure where to start, I've compiled a little inspiration board full of people who are rocking the layered, fall ensemble as well as a few links for those of you who've got a little $$ to spare. ;)
P. S. Birkenstocks: To wear or not to wear? I'm totally aboard the Birks Train, and I think you should be too. I've seen some girls on campus that already know what's the what, so think about it . . You know you want a pair too.
Camel Jacket? YES. (Really anything Camel is an absolute do in my book.)
A white button down is a great investment for this transitional season. You can dress it down with ripped up jeans, pair it with a skirt, or buy a slightly larger size to wear under your coziest sweater ;).
I threw in a shot of Selena, cause why not? Girl is killin' it.
Again, need I say more?
BUT, I WILL.
Because, see, you can wear them with socks and seize the opportunity to further accessorize.
Think of all the possibilities . . .
Make a statement with plaid pants. Keep the rest of your outfit simple, and let the pants do all the work for you!
I'm going to have a fangirl moment here and toss in some Katie Holmes for good measure.
If you're not certain about the the pants, try layering a plaid shirt (or jacket) with denim. ^
ORRR a scarf. I know I'm pushing it with the plaid, but a girl's got to have options.

If you like the camel coat pictured up top. Here is a Camel-colored
Trench Coat for $23.
