CARINA
. . . So, you may dimly recall that I made a promise back in April to post a brand new performance by the lovely Kristine Leschper. Well, I know it took me a while, but a promise is a promise, and I hope that you enjoy what we put together for you.
When I first came to Kristine asking to conduct an interview for Pastel, I was secretly hoping she'd be willing to film a performance of one of her songs as well. But since Kristine was in midst of her final semester of college and knocking out her printmaking exit show, I had a pretty simple, long-take in mind. Kristine, however, surprised me with the eager suggestion to film in an abandoned warehouse that she'd previously explored, and I was more than happy to follow her lead!
We arrived to a line of decomposing buildings—and the contrast of moldering walls adorned with the graffiti art of past drifters and lush greenery, along with broken windows framed by refined linen curtains—created a surprisingly sumptuous shrine (and the perfect backdrop) to Kristine's performance.
